NDIS Support for PTSD
NDIS support for Individuals with PTSD
At Get Going, we provide personalised health and movement-based supports for individuals living with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), delivered in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. We recognise that each person’s experience is different, and our approach is guided by individual needs, preferences, and comfort levels.
Our supports focus on supported participation in physical activity, with sessions adapted to suit the individual’s goals, sensory considerations, and daily capacity. Activities are delivered at a manageable pace and designed to promote confidence, routine, and positive engagement with movement rather than performance or pressure.
Sessions are planned with attention to predictability, clear communication, and participant choice. Our team works closely with individuals and, where appropriate, their support network to ensure supports remain appropriate, enjoyable, and aligned with NDIS funding.
We aim to create a calm and encouraging environment where individuals feel supported to engage in movement and recreational activity in a way that feels safe and empowering. The focus is on participation, consistency, and building positive experiences with physical activity over time.
As a registered NDIS provider, Get Going delivers supports in line with participant plans and NDIS guidelines. Our role is to support individuals living with PTSD to remain active and engaged in a way that supports overall wellbeing and day-to-day participation.
